Mike Hartline remained sidelined for the Cats and backups Morgan Newton and Will Fidler shared time under center for the Cats. Both quarterbacks had sub par performances for the Cats leaving Rich Brooks uneasy about the quarterback situation.
The injury bug bit again Saturday with all-SEC linebacker Micah Johnson leaving the game with a MCL knee injury. Johnson is doubtful for next Saturday against Mississippi State.
The Cats improved their record to 4-3 overall. The Cats will take on Mississippi State next Saturday at Commonwealth Stadium and look to move a game away from the 6 wins needed to become bowl eligible.
