UK vs. Campbellsville

Kentucky will take on its first opponent tomorrow when Campbellsville visits Rupp Arena in UK's first exhibition game. The game will not count toward the win-loss record but should be an indicator of how far up Calipari's figurative mountain the Cats have climbed. The Cats will be without John Wall as he serves the first game of his two game suspension. The game will tip at 7:00 PM on FSN South.

Wildcats Fall To Mississippi State 31-24

The unpleasant loss to Mississippi State drops the Cats to 4-4 overall. UK's defense could not stop MSU's Anthony Dixon who rushed 33 times for a school record 252 yards and 2 touchdowns. It seemed like MSU ran the same play over and over again and the Kentucky coaching staff could not make the adjustments to stop the all-SEC running back. Despite UK's poor defensive outing the offense had plenty of chances to win the game for the Cats but could not come up with the big plays when they needed them the most. Next up for the Cats is Eastern Kentucky University.
